(1) Whether he is aware of the (a) South Gauteng High Court judgment of 12 August 2015 regarding the (i) employment, (ii) termination of employment and (iii) extension of employment of a certain person (name and details furnished) and (b) specified court’s directive to the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) responsible for Housing and Local Government to invoke section 54S(8) of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, to remedy the illegality in the employment of the specified person; if so, what action does he intend to take in this regard; (2) whether he is aware of the statement issued by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality on 13 August 2015 stating that the specified court declined to declare the employment of the specified person unlawful and set it aside when the court could not find any formal employment Friday, 23 October 2015 1443 INTERNAL QUESTION PAPER: NATIONAL ASSEMBLY NO 42 - 2015 which may warrant such ruling; if not, what is the position in this regard; if so, what action does he intend to take in this regard; (3) whether he is aware that the directive of the court to the Local Government MEC was inaccurately reflected in the statement issued by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality on 13 August 2015 in order to allow the specified MEC to ascertain if there was illegality in the employment of the specified person despite the specified judgment of the court in this regard; if so, what action does he intend to take in this regard?
