Whether, in view of the health risks and negative economic impact of influenza outbreaks in the winter months, his department has any plans or programmes in place to make the influenza vaccine available to (a) the populace at large or (b) any group of people in terms of criteria developed by his department (i) free of charge, (ii) at a subsidised rate or (iii) at a negotiated discount rate so as to increase an uptake and thereby help minimise its impact on South Africans and the economy this year; if not, why not in each case; if so, what are the details in each case?
