Time: Registration at 09h30

Seminar: 10h00 - 12h30

Venue: 6 Spin street, Cape Town

South Africa’s proposed expansion of its current nuclear energy programme seems to be shrouded in secrecy, resulting in widespread speculation and confusion. Given the potential costs of this project, can the government and key stakeholders ensure that the process is open and transparent?

This seminar will address the many questions around South Africa’s new nuclear energy project. What will be built and who will build it? How much will the new build cost and who will pay for it? Most importantly, does South Africa really need this new project?
