What about the Political Party Funding Act?

The Political Party Funding Bill was developed by a parliamentary committee and formally introduced in Parliament in 2017. President Cyril Ramaphosa signed the Bill into law (became the Political Party Funding Act) on the 22nd of January 2021 and came into effect on the 1st of April 2021.

Many believe that this piece of legislation will enhance transparency and accountability in South Africa.
