A death in police custody (CAS 660/11/2009) of a person arrested for domestic violence that used a washing line affixed to the cells to hang himself. The case was registered as closed and no-one was held responsible. The ICD report has a front page missing and notes that the person was still wearing his belt and shoelaces. The cells were not visited regularly. Even though the ICD recommended that the members be charged all three were found not guilty. One of the reasons for this was probably that the criminal docket did not contain the ICD report. The members were also found not guilty in the departmental hearing. 2.
