The register for the archives was in the office of the Warrant Officer in charge, who had been booked off sick, and was unavailable as it was locked up in his filing cabinet. Due to space constraints, there were a total of seven makeshift stores, all of which were in an unacceptable state of disorder. Dockets were lying on the floor and in some of the stores were piled up in boxes that were irretrievable. There were even three docket stores in the cell block which poses an unnecessary risk. The lights in these stores do not work and the clerk stated that he used the light of his cell phone or a torch, when available, when looking for dockets in these stores. It was admitted by the clerk that it was unlikely that he would be able to find any of the older dockets contained in these stores, if requested to do so.
