The most serious concern of all was the fact that the Committee found numerous firearms that were not in the safes, but were lying haphazardly amongst other items in the general store. Staff working in the store denied any knowledge of these firearms. A total of seven firearms were found by the Committee in only a small area of the store, within a couple of minutes. It is clear that there were many more firearms there that were not found. None of these firearms had been sent to ballistics.
