681. Mr J M Bekker (DA-WC) to ask the Minister of Labour:
(1) How many (a) workers of the Nuclear Energy Corporation of South
Africa (NECSA) who have worked at the (i) Pelindaba, (ii)
Vaalputs, (iii) Koeberg and (iv) iThuba Laboratories from the
inception of each of the installations up to date have applied
for occupational health compensation, (b) applications were
received in each year and (c) of these applicants were
successful in receiving compensation;
(2) what is the total amount of workmen compensation that was paid
out to workers in respect of each of the above installations
from the date of inception up to the latest specified date for
which information is available;
(3) whether she will provide a detailed breakdown of the payments
made to each person from each of these installations from the
date of inception up to the latest specified date for which
information is available; if not, why not; if so, (a) what is
the name of each person who received occupational health
compensation in each case, (b) at which installation did they
work and (c) what is the total amount they have been paid?

(1) Engagement concerning this query was done, and the
following transpired.
a) All four companies (a) Pelindaba, (b) Vaalputs, (c) Koeberg and
(d) Ithuba Installations are not registered with Compensation
Fund, Rand Mutual or FEMA.
There is a possibility that the names provided are not
correct or the companies are not using them as
trading names.
i. Information required in (i) to (iv) is not available as the
employers are not registered and information is only
available for employers who are registered with one
of the above-mentioned
Funds.
2. What amount in workmenâs compensation has been paid out to workers
at each of the abovementioned installations (a) in total and (b)
per claimant;
