71.      Ms M R Shinn (DA) to ask the Minister of Communications:
(1)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â What is the status of the enquiry into the conduct of
certain directors-general (names furnished) which was
prompted by the findings of Parliamentâs Joint Committee on
Ethics and Membersâ Interests report into the former
minister;
(2)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â whether the enquiry has been completed; if not, when is
it likely to be completed; if so, (a) what action does it
recommend and (b) what action is being taken as a result of
these recommendations;
(3)Â Â Â Â Â Â Â will the report be published (a) on his departmentâs
website or (b) elsewhere; if not, why not; if so, when?Â

1) They remain Deputy Director-Generals.
2) The Public Service Commission has not finished its inquiry yet. As the
individuals concerned are also alleged to have committed other wrong-
doings there is an overall process envisaged within the Department of
dealing with the allegations the Honourable Member is raising. This
process has begun.
