. The term of office for the SRC in the college was from February to October every year. The NC(V) Level 1-2 students were not allowed to contest for SRC election since certain courses were only one trimester. . The nomination process for SRC positions started on 30 January of every year and the Independent Election Commission (IEC) was responsible for elections. . The college was concerned with SRC's affiliation to different youth alliances in the campus. The different youth alliances influenced the agenda of the SRC. . Students were required to be fulltime in order to contest for SRC positions. NC(V) students were required to be studying Level 3-4 to contest for SRC positions and the SRC could only have 10 members.
