Three incidents of theft had occurred from the stores in the past year. None of these were the result of break-ins. The only reason that the theft was detected was because there was a disposal order for the items. All cases had apparently been investigated and no-one had been charged. Items stolen included cell phones and laptops. A full audit was apparently only completed after the third theft had occurred. Huge bags of dagga were found in the stores which had not been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory. Some of these were incorrectly tagged. It is clear that dagga is treated differently to other drugs (by this and many other stations).
