The 21st century is regarded as a century of asymmetrical warfare, with its emphasis on intrawarfare. Therefore, by default the budget may be contributing to festering conditions of asymmetrical warfare in South Africa.
The current budget will also not be able to address the restoration of the dignity of men and women working in uniform as well as military veterans in terms of adequate payment, decent working conditions and an adequate health care system and facilities, because it justifies the utilisation of our armed forces throughout Africa, not in defending the African Revolution, but in actually picking up the mess after imperialist-infested conflicts.
